
The Musicians Union of Trinidad and Tobago (MUTT) will be officially launched at the Grande Riviere Room, Courtyard by Marriott, Invaders Bay, Audrey Jeffers Highway, Port of Spain, on Saturday 27th June 2009 at 6:00 pm.
The gala event (by invitation only) will bring together musicians and other stakeholders in the industry from across Trinidad and Tobago to network and socialize on the night.
Feature guest speaker is former National Trade Union Centre (NATUC) President Robert Guisseppi. Also sharing the platform are Messrs. Patrick Arnold and Joey “Pal Joey” Lewis.
In recognition of their outstanding contribution and the promotion of steelpan music and culture, presentations will be made to five (5) of the nation’s most celebrated musicians, Dr. Leroy “Black Stalin” Calliste, Len “Boogsie” Sharpe, Joey Lewis, Roy Cape, and Mungal Patasar.
The evening’s entertainment will be provided by Panorama Champions 2009 Silver Stars Steel Orchestra, Willard Harris aka Lord Relator, and Kizzie Ruiz.
MUTT is a Non Governmental Organization was established in 2006 whose primary aim is to generally protect the interests of its member musicians of all genres in Trinidad & Tobago.
Mr. Patrick Arnold heads the Interim Committee.
